Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

The short version: BP Journal has no account, no ads, and no third-party analytics SDK. Your readings live on your iPhone by default. Data leaves the app only when you choose to share it, use Apple Health, or enable Apple iCloud sync.

Who we are

BP Journal is built by Pragmatiq. This policy explains how the BP Journal iOS app and this website handle information.

What BP Journal does not do

  • BP Journal does not require an account, email, or login.
  • BP Journal does not show ads or include advertising SDKs.
  • BP Journal does not include a third-party analytics SDK.
  • BP Journal does not sell, share, or license your data.
  • BP Journal does not send blood pressure values, pulse, names, dates of birth, notes, or PDF reports to Pragmatiq servers.

Data stored on your device

BP Journal stores app data locally on your device, including readings, pulse values, timestamps, optional tags, notes, profile details you choose to enter, preferences, and generated export history needed by the app.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, BP Journal can read blood pressure and pulse readings recorded in Apple Health so you can see them in one place. BP Journal can also save readings you add manually back to Apple Health for your primary profile. Apple Health permissions are controlled by iOS and can be changed at any time in Settings.

HealthKit data is handled by Apple on-device APIs. BP Journal does not use HealthKit data for advertising, analytics, or sale.

iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, BP Journal uses Apple iCloud to sync your app data between your devices through your Apple account. Pragmatiq does not operate a separate server that stores your readings.

In-app purchases

BP Journal Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles payment information. BP Journal receives purchase status needed to unlock Pro features and restore purchases.

Data you choose to share

When you export a PDF, print, email, AirDrop, message, or otherwise share data from BP Journal, that data leaves the app because you chose to send it. The destination app or service handles it under its own privacy practices.

This website

This static website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process basic request data such as IP address, browser information, URL, and timestamp to provide hosting, security, and operational logs. This website does not include advertising trackers.

Children

BP Journal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here and the date above will be revised.
